"THE WAR" Navarro wins comeback fight after 10 fearsome rounds. Navarro made an incredible comeback in the 10th round after absorving a frightful beating for nearly the entire fight. Both fighters stood toe to toe and landed bomb after bomb after bomb. Navarro showed some ring rust during the first few rounds, and seemed a little bit slow as Rodriguez managed to shut Navarros right eye early in the fight, but "The Gladiator" always a warrior never wanted the fight to be stopped. Dr. Ben Vogel nearly had the fight stopped in the 8th round as Navarro wobbled back to his corner after Rodriguez landed a 3 punch combination to Arturos head.. In the 9th round Navarro landed two left uppercuts that hurt Rodriguez and nearly had him out on his feet. Rodriguez held on as Navarro tried to finish him off. Rodriguez then landed a solid right hand to Arturos chin that buckled his leggs as the bell sounded. Dr. Ben Vogel once again visited the Navarro corner to make sure that Arturo was able to continue. In the final round of the 10 round main event, fans stood on there feet as both warriors pounded each other over and over. Rodriguez the bigger and heavier man landed a left hook to Navarros chin that produced the first knockdown of his career. Navarro made it up at the count of 8 only to get knocked down again with a barrage of punches. Looking to end the fight, Rodriguez overpowered Arturo landing right hands on Navarros head. referee Lou Kenyon steps in and gives Navarro a standing 8 count. With less then a minute left in the fight, Navarro desperately behind on the score cards lands a left hook to the body that put Rodriguez down on the canvas. Rodriguez gets up and Navarro wobbles towards him as he lets go a flurry of punches until Rodriguez is unable to protect himself. Rodriguez cornerman Rich Castillo throws the towel inside the ring as the referee stops the fight at 2 minutes and 38 seconds of the 10th and final round. No complaints from Rodriguez or the crowd as Navarro wins his comeback fight after nearly 3 years of being retired.
